This mssage is being sent to the Netconnect Mailing List and copied to
Oliver Wagner, Chris Wiles and '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' (sorry - don't
know any other address there).
Now that the troubles with the NC2 MDII Y2K bug have quietened down,
could I make a small suggestion?
That problem would never have gone as far as it did before Chris went
to Edinburgh. He would have been on the list and would have
immediately e-mailed Ollie and the fix would have been out in 2 hours.
It appears that Chris has handed support of NetConnect to EyeTech
(although I've not seen an official notification here so I may be
wrong). If Chris is out of the loop and no-one from EyeTech has
stepped into his role, we are risking having another battle between
people who, with the best will in the world, are not able to do
anything about it.
Could I suggest that Oliver, Chris and EyeTech get together and
arrange for someone to monitor this list and pass any problems,
suggestions, etc. to the appropriate person. That might help avoid
another situation where UK Trading Standards and Amiga Format get
dragged into a row where the one person who can actually do something
is blissfully unaware of the whole thing.
Alternatively, perhaps one of the users could volunteer for the role.
Any thoughts anyone?
Cheers
