Some of the messages will be the start of a thread, the ones that say
"this is not a message, just a fake root created", which doesn't count as a
deleted message. For example, just now I did a cleanup database - my trash
folder said it contained 30 items (2 "fake roots" & 28 messages).
When it finished it said it had deleted 28 messages.
199 is a lot, so maybe it's only part of a solution.
