Yeah. This is fair enough really, but most of the time I personally am
downloading the archive intending to view it later.

Same thing, as far as V is concerned. "View", as in "pass to another
program via a temporary file."

I hope you're joking. :) A V90 modem might do about 5Kb/s which is
around a fifth of what you'd get off a floppy drive! Even the old
notebook HD I used to have managed a pathetic 200Kb/sec...
