Although I haven't had this particular problem myself (all the rest of
them, though !)
Have you tried using SnoopDos to determine if MD is trying to open a
library or another file- it might be missing or corrupted?
If not, ISTM that the best (only?) course of actions is to
back up your data and prefs files, and re-install the whole Microdot
programme.
To make this job quicker, I have a complete back up of the NetConnect
drawer on a seperatepartition, with the keyfile and a copyof the
additions to startup-sequence&user-startup, so that I can copy it over
if (when) NC falls over. I backup data and microdot.prefs more often,
ie. every second day.
