Suddenly, the shopkeeper appeared. It was Donald MacLennan.

There hasn't been anything offensive for a while now that I recall,
but there has been stuff that sounded aggressive, I guess.

That's not what Jim is saying (I don't think). In general, this ML is
for discussing bugs, user problems, etc with using Netconnect. Once
you venture into legal matters, you're starting to go OT. Yes,
you know Chris Wiles (occasionally?) reads this list, but if you also
know he reads alt.fan.trainspotting, or whatever, would you send mails
there too? (I'm guessing a few "Yesses" there :)

I thought the bugfix was made available the day after *Olli* was made
aware. That's slightly different to when it was announced on this list.

So it's probably a good idea to change tact / step up the action,
rather than metaphorically beating your head against a wall, getting
more and more frustrated (whoever this applies to).

I can't speak for Jim, but I rarely use the mail download manager
because it can be too much hassle. Furthermore, it's not always clear
what people are writing about just from the subject headers. I jumped
into a few "Voyager Cache" mails to find a mini-debate going on. It's
perfectly valid for Jim to complain about the meal he gets if the
menu was misleading.

It might be an idea for people to ensure their subject line reflects
the contents of their mail. Subscribers who find Active complaints or
bitter exchanges irrelevant to them can then avoid such mails. Of
course, this is only an idea, not a dictatorial command from up on
high. :-)
