I used X-Arc several times and then used that excellent old debug
utility C:DELETE to immeasurably improve it. What were you using for
extracting archives before you got X-Arc? There are many de-archiving
utilities on Aminet that are vastly better than X-Arc. DOpus4 is now
available from Aminet of cover CDs.
