I've gotten it to run a grand total of twice now, but it was crashing
my system all together. I can do quite well with GoldEd too; in fact,
I'm wondering if MetalWeb would be worth the trouble to learn. At some
point somebody's got to realize that there is only so much extra
goodies that you need for such a program. Why have the tear off class
on the gui?

Duly Noted! Leave them as CLI

I don't mind some of the trouble, but on the other hand it was too
much of a rush job. After installing all of the programs from
download, I find myself wondering how to set up ContactManager and the
Mimi prefs. Really, they put mimi/cm in nearly all of the individual
archives that just override the NC version... so where does it go?
I think most of us are leftover NC users and can handle things
together, but what about the person who's never used the Internet? I
found mFTP not to be as straight foreward as AmFTP was, and without
X-Arc the novice is a little left out. However, I don't mind the extra
work; just, I wish some consideration was paid to the novice.
Final thought: have you tried the Ticker from www.amigacentral.com? If
you download it and it doesn't work, email amigacentral and ask for
the one that works with Genisis (he might have put the right one up by
now). It's really a neat little program, if you mostly IRC and Email
instead of browse all the time :)
