Hi

I just bought a null modem cable + TwinExpress pd software (fully
working but unregistered) from Eyetech - and very nice it is too. Uses
(almost) identical to AmigaDOS string text commands to transfer files,
query dir contents etc etc. Cost 9.95 which is a good bargin IMHO.

Transfer seems to be about 11k per second, so nothing world beating
but there again it works so I'm not complaining.

The main use I have it for is 'cos my 170mb HDD just became my backup
drive and my 2gb one (from work - I seem to buy all their old
hardware!) became my primary.

There are other ways - eg: primary+secondary ide drives off of one
interface but some drives don't like this (and hey networking is more
fun).

Apparently one can do serial transfers with AmiTCP Genesis although
I've not experimented with this.

Oh and if anyone knows how to get DNET to work please let me know as I
quite fancy the file server I found on Aminet for it.
