Eek, like me then <ahem> :)

Seriously, I *had* to buy my Mac, due to my course. I wasn't too happy about
using a PC for multimedia related stuff and, as I had a Mac project in mind
(that could also be created as part of my course too), I thought it was the
best solution :)

Although, well, IE 4.5 on the Mac == unstability galore :-/

Yeah. Shall I tell you a story? :)

I started looking for a job around December 1998 and realised 'oh my
god...I've been self-employed in the *Amiga* market for so long now, I'm
virtually unemployable!', couldn't get a job I wanted....and, thus, became a
bit depressed. After this, after early 1999, things were never the same -
even then I knew I wouldn't be able to continue (in the market) for much
longer. In fact, I intended to leave around early Summer 1999!

I then decided to produce NC 3. 1) as NC 2 users would have only had to
upgrade to V3 anyhow, 2) as I thought I could produce a good title (with
some nice new software) and 3) as I wanted the titles to be key compatible
with the Vapor titles....so, to be honest, the support factor wouldn't be
too overwhelming if I went to get a job (or went back to uni).

But, as always, NC 3 was quite late. It was due by WOA July 99, at the
latest. I wanted to get it out and then allow 'about 2 months' to do the
support (etc), before going to uni in September.

This didn't happen. The program (including STFax 4!), were both late. In
fact they didn't arrive until October! :(

Worse, I was already in Edinburgh, starting a new life, in a new city and at
a new uni. So, I had to then go back three weekends in a row to get out
(first) STFax 4 and then NC 3, hassle and stress galore :(

Since then, due to very little time (my MSc course is incredibly intense -
far far more than I thought it would be - and I'm also getting used to this
new city - and learning German and Italian at the same time) I simply
decided to sit back and get on with my course. Hell, if I fail this
course...well...I don't want to think about that. I have to pass, period.

As I said before, programming and development continues, as it always has..

Chris.
