        You need to use the appp.device from the NetConnect 2.1 archive on
Active's site (http://www.active-net.co.uk/support/nc21.lha) (I assume
that you're connecting with Genesis from either NC2.2/2.3 or NC3).
Unfortunately it's a 1.1 Mb download and all you need is one file from
it...  

Once you have the archive rename Devs:Networks/appp.device to
Devs:Networks/appp.device.nc3 (or whatever, so long as you rename it...).
Then extract the archive into ram (or look at it in GuiArc/X-Arc/etc.),
and go to the directory 2.1/devs/networks.  In there will be a lot of
appp.devices for different processors.  Copy the version for your
processor to Devs:Networks/appp.device.

        Once you have done that, reboot and try connecting.  I find that I
can't connect every time (seems to be early evening so it could be an
overloaded server?), but keep trying and you'll eventually manage
it.  Good luck.

        They give instructions on how to set up a Mac to do it without
special software, so this seems unlikely...
