I've heard good things and bad things about E'nburgh Uni. A lot of
time I have to deal with their frustrated students (geology), trying
to get through PhD's with little or no support on practical work. It
means a 90 mile round trip a day for them to get to me, but at least
they get some numbers to work with :-/ I was in E'nburgh Uni last
Thursday on a safety course in the Staff Dev Centre. Rather good.
Crap acoustics, but well equipped.
If you want to move your second year to a real Uni, you could come
West and look at Strathclyde. Very modern (became a Uni in '77 or
something) and heavily into computer sciences as a result. Only 10
miles from Totty though... ;-)
Oh, Flash is a lot of fun! Amazing for the size of the client module
and scripts.
