Don't count your chickens before they're hatched. ; )
Applying for your card is the least of your worries, just try to activate
it!
When you get to the egg/servicing page and you successfully log in, it will
ask you to change your password. At present, egg will announce that there
is a systems update in progress, so you will have to use the allocated
password. Clicking on submit? will take you to ..... " we can not find the
page you requested...." or some such nonesense.
Back to square one.
