Well, it is an observation. Nothing more.

Full history:

I got Netconnect 3 and updated Voyager.

The JAVA option was enabled because it was needed by so many pages.

I noticed the program would give me FREQUENT erros as most pages are JAVA2
script (or something like that.)

** Note here.. It was mostly errors and seldom dropouts. Usually from
memory Voyage would complain or lock up itself.

I am NOT a JAVA savvy person so I am only saying what others are telling me.

So out of frustration I disabled JAVA in the settings. All was good.

Then I got the 3.1 update.

I didn't change anything.

I was still having no problems. JAVA - DISABLED.

I went to a page that needed JAVA and squllioins of cookies because I wanted
to buy something.

Thus I had to re-enable JAVA.

It was ok on that page. I didn't get line drop outs.

And subsequently I left JAVA enabled.

I was browsing my usual pages and it started to drop out OCCASIONALLY.

I saw the posting and saw that the person was being told enough and my
knowledge of Genesis was not needed.

Then a couple of days ago I was trying to get some WAV files and the line
dropped out 3 times.

I thought about it and after the re-set/boot, before I connected, I disabled
the JAVA and it didn't drop out again.

Yes, I also couldn't get to that page anymore, but I see a definate
connection between the two occurances.

Um, the URL for anyone who wants to confirm this is:

http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Balcony/2509/

Go there and try to muck about WITH and WITHOUT JAVA and tell me if you see
any differences.

Further more:

After the "last" system hanging, my STRICQ and Genesis MUI settings were
obliterated. GONE. NO LONGER THERE.

This is what happened on MY machine. If you don't have this problem: Good
luck. I have to suffer these problems. My was it so DISABLE JAVA in
Voyager and ALL the above mentioned problems are removed.
