I second the request! :-)
It's possible to re-negotiate the connection with some ISP's without
redialling (Freeserve is one). I asked UKOnline why it didn't work
with them and they said they had no intention of supporting it.
Obviously, if the TCP/IP stack stored info like DNS server and Local
Host ID across a reboot it ought to be able to continue where it left
off, plus or minus a packet or two. :)
