ISTR that when the first bug reports of this happened, like on the day
of release, I looked with SnoopDOS. It was Open()ing the files with
the wrong mode (MODE__NEWFILE) which sets the filesize to zero. This
happened only if you *changed* the type of launch mode, except for one
case (WB? CLI? I can't recall). Setting the launch mode with no (or
some harmless) filename defined, exiting prefs, re-entering prefs then
selecting the file for real used to work.
