Don't worry, you're not missing much. The BT ISP
service has got steadily worse over the past 3 weeks.
They regularly sport DOS attacks, it often takes about
4 attempts to log in (regardless of the time of day),
and once you do, their server drops packets all over
the place. The fact that this is one of the biggest
Telecommunication companies in the world, and you have
to pay a subscription for piss-poor 0800 access during
cheap-rate hours *only* is beyond a joke.
I ran a firewall program for a while and found that
they also had a high case of people searching for open
ports on machines connected to their server (often
twice an hour).
I honestly don't know why I'm paying for this. I'm
switching to NTL entirely ASAP, it is orders of
magnitude better, and practically free.
