Hi all,

I did that and also tried with Pipe Stream ticked and unticked. I have
tried to view jpeg pictures (which I could view in the admittedly
roundabout manner I described via Turboprint's Graphic Publisher).
Once again when I clicked on' view' all I got was hd activity.I was
able to view text messages in the small box at the rt hand corner,
and also if I clicked on 'whole message' got what I imagine to be the
code for the images.i.e. Multiview was opening.
Oddly I have a video clip which I did manage to view in mpeg, before
I download MDII 1.4.4. However, I ceased to be able to view that
*before* I did the download and have no recollection of having
interfered with any settings in the meantime.

I decided to completely re-install MDII 1.4.4. I did this using the
default placements for everything - if I could have used 'Novice
Install' I would have done ! ! The Mime settings were Video mpeg.
 Extension mpeg Class directory Ticked.
 Viewer SYS:Utilities/Multiview%fPUBSCREEN%p
Internal viewer, unticked/ticked. Pipe streaming, again tried it both
ways But unfortunately no change :-( I'm quite prepared to accept that
I am making some damn fool mistake but don't know where. Incidentally
in the course of this I discovered how to retain all the mail data
from one version of MD and carry it into the update, also to get the
program to run from the Internet Dock Bar, again. If I discovered it
I'm sure the world and his wife got there ages ago, but if anyone else
has had problems with this I will write again.

Yours hopefully, and sorry about the epic proportions of this cry for
help.
