Hi John, on Thu, 17 Aug 2000 at 16:44:45 you said: >Often i get on first time, sometimes within three tries, infrequently with a >lot of tries (I can hear the modem connect from the next room and return >when it squeels). I find that I can get similar results if I try at the weekend, but if I try in the evenings during the week all I get is the number unobtainable tone. >The objective was to reduce the phone bill and it has, surprisingly, the >monthly phone bill for internet is less than what I was paying my isp. That's partly true here for me too. It has reduced my phone bill, enough to cover the cost of subscribing but as above I still need to connect through one of my other ISPs at times. >Incoming mail can be picked up remotly, outgoing can be sent by temporaily >changing the smtp address. I have no problem getting or sending mail through the services of my main ISP when online with RHA. I have all my ISPs set up to use the same POP3 and SMTP settings So far I am happy with RHA as I realise that the service is an alternative option not a replacement. -- A La Prochaine Dave Le Huray Guernsey, Channel Islands ICQ: 56195074 - - Surfing the Net with the speed of a Pentium - - - - - - On my dual 160/25Mhz Amiga 1200T :-) - - - - -- -- _____________________________________________________________ NetConnect mailing list.
