I would hardly call it a nightmare. And I also disagree with your
method of making MIME Prefs 'Ask' the user before doing anything.
There is a predefined downloads path, on both my system and Tony's,
therefore every time you click on a link you have to specify the
download path every time that MIME Prefs askes what to do, simply
shift clicking a link so that it automatically downloads is a better
and quicker way of doing things.

If you wanted to relly 'view' a file, then you would have to find say,
X-Arc (for me it is Netconnect3:programs/x-arc/x-arc) every time you
wanted to simply check out a small archive you may not want.
