I recently joined ntlworld and set up three email addresses. 1 for the household, 1 for myself and 1 for my wife. I then sent an email from my PC in work to all three addresses. I set TO: to the household address and CC'd myself and the wife. When I got home, I added the new users and setup the mail accounts as normal under genesis prefs and microdot and then I fired up the download manager from inside Microdot II (1.4) to see if the emails had arrived at the accounts and yes, they are all there! All fine so far. When I download, I can see the emails coming in but for some strange reason anything which is CC'd fails to appear in the PRIV folder for myself. I then carried out some tests. FROM: the household account I sent some messages to the wife and myself as follows. Test1 TO: wife Test2 TO: myself Test3 TO: wife CC: myself Test4 TO: myself CC: myself Firing up the download manager shows what I expect. Test1,Test3 and Test4 have arrived at the account for my wife. Test2,Test3 and Test4 have arrived at the account for myself. When I actually download the mail into each account however the following is found in PRIV. Wife.PRIV Test1,Test3, Test4 Myself.PRIV Test2 CC'd mails to myself are disappearing on download. Straight to NIL: it seems! Anyone else here observed this? Is it a bug (with a workaround hopefully) or is there something I need to switch to enable reception of CC'd mail? I don't recall doing anything at all different for the wife's account but then again i'm human. :) BFN Ron Hill. _____________________________________________________________ NetConnect mailing list.
