I experienced this when changing from one ISP to another, I signed up for a mailing list on the new account and forgot to cancel the mailing list on the old account. I then used MD to download mail from the new ISP. Some time later I logged into the old ISP to see if any new messages had been delivered there and all the mail from the mailing list was downloaded to this account. I watched it being downloaded on the dialogue box. When finished there were no mails in the inbox for this account. After experimenting I found that if the mail was deleted from the first account then it could be downloaded to the second.
