Hi, I have the Genesis Prefs program 1.0.6 and have found a bit of a problem. I recently got an X-Surf card. Plugged it in and it is working. I set up an interface and select the device as the x-surf.device and go through all those motions. When I selected that and said connect it sometimes complained no end about the DTR line and killed the serial port program. I went in and looked. For some reason it sometimes if I click on modem selects a modem and no matter how hard I try to say NO MODEM it keeps defaulting to wanting one. Is this a known problem? I went in and found the line about "ifmodem" and changed it from 1 to 0 and that seems to have stopped it but it was most confusing for me when I was making the interface and first trying to get it working everytime it would complain about the DTR line. The way the "specify sana device" and "config" file interact with each other is a bit confusing for me too. Could anyone explain it a bit better? For this Interface I have devs:networks/x-surf.device and the config is env:sana2/appp0.config For the dialup interface I have PPP selected and that ghosts out all the other things. Fair enough. Yet, I see devs:networks/appp.device in the first line and env:sana2/appp0.config in the second. Again: Fair enough. They are ghosted. What *IS* confusing to me is as the config file is the same (albe it ghosted) why is the text underneath it different? Cya! -- Just got a new truck for my boyfriend...GREAT TRADE!
