Very jerky moving mouse pointer usually means the CPU is so bogged down that the
whole rest of the machine is at a standstill. When that has happened
to me, it has ben because there was something wrong woth the data
files.

While Contact manager is still working, make a duplicate copy of  your
CManager/(user) directory, called (user).BAK or something.

Then open Cm and save and hope it cleans up the data files.

I have lost the whole damn lot several times, and now  I  back  it  up
regularly.  Somehow  the  data files get corrupted and CM cannot open,
and the only fix is to delete it and duplicate the (user).BAK back  to
(user).

CM seems to  be buggy, but it's so useful I wouldn't want to be
without it.
