--- Begin Message ---hi list, I just want to know if I'm totally wrong. I'm not an expert about linux. Marco

--- Begin Message ---I've got the same problem that Peter Clark reported in: http://sourceforge.net/p/netdisco/mailman/message/30769933/ FreeBSD-9.2-STABLE system, netdisco 1.3.2. I get cron email messages with every(?) cron job that contain about the same thing: (in cleanup) cannot chdir to /var/cron from /tmp/_ypj2yVjH5: Permission denied, aborting. at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.16/Parallel/ForkManager.pm line 663. These jobs run fine from the command-line as the netdisco user, with /bin/sh as the shell. No other applications on the box are having problems. Any thoughts? -- Harlan Stenn <[email protected]> http://networktimefoundation.org - be a member!

--- Begin Message ---hi Everybody, I ran the following command on Netdisco v2.024004: |~/bin/netdisco-||do| |-D discover -d 192.0.2.1|Using the core CISCO router we have. Using netdisco v1.1 it found all attached routers and switches and populated the database. When I ran the command above it just found the core router and went no further. What command must I issue to find the rest of the network? Thanks for any help!--David<<attachment: dweise.vcf>>

--- Begin Message ---Hi David,You need to start the backend daemon (netdisco-daemon) and it will continue the work. The discovery for all other switches and routers is currently queued in your database, waiting for the daemon to start.regards, oliver.
