How to change this?
In Netdisco 2 this is the setting you want:

If you run a netdisco-do -D -d <device> from the command line, what
class is the device reported, for example are they all using the
Layer2::CiscoSB class?

I would expect a better recognition: either as "SF200-24" or as the

Please correct!

Hi list,
I've just installed netdisco 2 on debian 7. It is a great tool !!
I'm new to netdisco, running my firsts test here.
I have some dell 5524 switches and netdisco is not showing the right vlan
information for each port. On the web console of netdisco, vlan membership
if empty (even if the port is member of multiples vlans). Also native vlan
is always 1, even when the port has a different native vlan on the switch.
I have other switches (HP, Alcatel, 3com) but this problem only happen on
dell switches.
Is there any configuration that I can change to fix it ? Is it a bug ?
I'm not sure how netdisco get this info, is it with the discovery command ?
Let me know which information should I provide so you can help me.
Thank you very much,
Ramiro.

Does anyone know if there is a config option in Netdisco 2 that will
periodically save the configs on the devices? Such as where someone
enables/disables a port via the web, that change is not saved back to the
startup config.
It looks like this was an option in the old version via a cron job task
like so...
# Save configs every hour on the hour (only necessary if network includes
# devices that do not permanently save SNMP changes, such as Cisco IOS)
#0 * * * * /usr/local/netdisco/netdisco -b -j 61
This ability seems to have been committed here:
http://sourceforge.net/p/netdisco/bugs/85/
Is there a corresponding entry I could configure in the deployment.yml
file for the new version, such as under the housekeeping section?

It's not implemented in Netdisco 2, but it's a good idea.
I've created a feature request tracker item:

I am wondering whether there is a problem because of the "Default View"
(as defined on these switches) which is used for this SNMP community
(masked above with ********), see:

I can't tell what exactly this means (I don't know very much about
SNMP), but you might draw some useful info.
Thanks for helping,
