I'm finding that in v0.93, I'm getting a different number of IPs than in v2.032005.

That's a strange bug! ;)
Would you have a problem sending me data from your database so I can
try to work through the code/SQL here? Feel free to contact me off-list
(oliver at cpan dot org) or on IRC.
Without source data, I'm not sure I'll be able to reproduce the
problem.

Hi Steven,
Netdisco uses the SNMP::Info libraries for device support; RuggedCom
(http://www.alvestrand.no/objectid/1.3.6.1.4.1.15004.html) isn't
supported by SNMP::Info yet.
Two things are needed to get better support for these switches:
1. The MIBs supported by these switches. Can you create a SourceForge
ticket in the netdisco-mibs area and attach the MIBs to it?
2. An SNMP::Info class for this brand. If you could create a SourceForge
ticket for the SNMP::Info project indicating the exact model(s) that
you're using, and attach a snmpwalk output for at least one of the
switches, it will give enough information for one of the developers to
create at least a basic device class.

misleading. What I meant was that most of the information for the switch
is missing in netdisco and the model is shown as

There's no easy way to prevent Netdisco from trying to fetch LLDP
neighbor data.
Strange that these devices are so slow in responding to specific LLDP
requests. Perhaps it's better with newer device firmware, but in the
mean time, what you can try is excluding these objects from the MIB view
for the community used by Netdisco.

...don't follow the recommendations on excluding ARP tables and
forwarding tables though, because then Netdisco will not find node <->
IP mappings or MAC <-> port mappings anymore.
Regarding timeout & retries: personally I always configure 3-5 retries
to allow for incidental packet loss. In the past I've had to use 60 sec
timeouts for our slowest Cisco devices.

I just update my RH5 Netdisco Version 0.96-cvs to RH7 Netdisco Version
2.033001. Thanks for all your work and this great software.
It’s running well, only something wrong with 3 Cisco WS-C4948E. They not
show the neighbour uplinks. There is no trouble with the other Cisco
Types (29xxStack, 3560, 37xxStack, 494810GE).
In Version 0.96-cvs the neighbor discovery works well for all devices.
Hope you can help me for that.
