Hi,

from clicking around in the MAC address report, I have a number
of recently seen MAC addresses where there's no information about
where they come from (no edge port, no forwarding table data).

Is there a way to find out which system has provided that data?

Alex.

Hi Alex,

Maybe you are running the rotation cron job to remove old forwarding
table entries. After that is done, there isn't a way to recover that
information.

There is a script called bin/ether_ip_port.pl in the netdot package that
saves the information regularly into text files. This is useful for
longer-term storage.
