ND is not an RMI based application server.
ND is CORBA based so it would be easier to use a CORBA based client to
access it.
You can also use the http to access ND services.

Maybe as interoperability between CORBA and RMI, ND will be an RMI based
server.

You can use ND5.x to host EJB's from a Java client program.
This seems to be the way to go for Java distributed object servers.
WebLogic would support EJB too.

Subject: [ND] client to appserver via rmi...

One of our customers is evaluating between Weblogic, and ND. Their
question is how to communicate with our server using RMI from a
java
client program (developed using non-nd environment)????

I am not quite sure why one would want that. But they have done it
with
weblogic. So, we need to answer.

        Thanks
