Whoops, I was probably thinking of web environment variables or something.
So, how would you do it, write some native C program, and then invoke it
through the java stub stuff (my use of the word 'stuff' indicates I don't
know the details, but would like people to think I just don't want to list
them :-) ).
I think the main point is still valid, that you can use vanilla java, at
least as the starting point. You don't need to go through some special
CSpOperatingSystemAccess class or other ND-specific means.
