I don't understand how you could recognise a user using its machine IP.
You have a firewall but what's happenning wher the user pass throuh a proxy

Subject: [ND] getWebEnvVars
Hello,
I haven't received any responses to this so I thought I would repost it.
Thanks!
------
Hello,
I am trying to use CSpider.getWebEnvVars(CSpVars.REMOTE_ADDR) to obtain a
unique identifier of our application users. The problem I am running into
is
that this value only returns the IP of our firewall when the application is
deployed in a production environment.
Does anyone know of a unique value I can use that would not be affected by a
firewall?
Thank you in advance,
Sal
