1. When you have a corrupted project it is very difficult to recover.
2. The best option is to start from a copy that you know for sure is good.
That is why I save a copy of my projects very often.
I have not run into a corrupted project in a long long time (more than 6 months)
3. Does the symptom happen in just one or a few pages? If it does you can try to
remove those pages and rebuild them.
4. I have never found the repair function to be of any use.
You can back up your project and then try it.
If it is already corrupted and you cannot recover running repair cannot hurt.
5. If the corruption was due to duplicated id for top level objects at one time, you
can look at the nd files and see if there are places that there should be a
long
id # and it does not have anything in it or the # is wrong.
6. Sometimes (but you do not have this symptom) some web event or thing that is
associated
with an object (usually secondary level object like datafield in a data
object) will
get deleted due to copying and pasting objects and the id 's are duplicated.
7. sometimes the date time for some of the files are wrong and nd thinks they are
current but they are not.
People sometimes change the clock of the machine (for y2k testing) and forget to
change it back.
8. Copy and pasting from other projects can result in corruption.
The package name is not copied and sometimes other stuff is missing also.
If you copy some object that requires other objects and some of them is in the new
project and some of them are not, you also can corrupt the project.
