I'll answer for Marcus, since he no longer follows this newsgroup.
in resources/CSpDateFormatSymbols.properties
there is a property
whenInDoubtAssumeMonthFirst=True
Make sure it has the same setting (whatever you prefer) on all machines.
If you use Oracle, you must use the same NLS... settings everywhere.
Check the registry on NT, nd.cshrc, db.env.cshrc on UNIX.
We also use javascript to make sure all dates are entered in the
same format.
