I did in an earlier version of ND4 (we are on ND4.1.3.8 now).
The system had problems (stability), so it was one of the things that got
un-done to try and find a solution. I haven't gone back to try it again
(once bitten, twice shy). Have you found it stable? This was on our Unix
systems at the time.

Have you looked at project preloading (option on cp service in 
console).  This causes one or more project graphs to be loaded when the ND 
server process is (re)started, ahead of any sessions starting.
