I have a successful resolution to this, courtesy of Evan Scott at PacBell:
It is a problem with the Studio's command bar entries in the registry (bet
you would have never guessed that!). Find "BarStates" in the registry and
delete it (it is under NetDynamics.NetDynamics Studio). Run Studio...
Studio will regen the registry entry in a pristine state.
