Please, I don't want a discussion about bitkeeper here, since it's strictly off-topic. I for myself are _STRONGLY_ against using any proprietary development tools for free software projects. I'm not going to be a leader in any free software project which uses proprietary development tools. Either the project doesn't use it, or I'm out of that project.
