I've found a tool that will generate packets from the command line
for testing networks, firewalls and IDS's. The primary site for rain is
at http://www.tenebrous.com/rain/ .
As it appears there isn't an rpm for it yet, I've packaged on up
at http://www.stearns.org/rain/
Use for good, not evil...
