Sorry for this posting: I know this is a NetMeeting list......
but I just wanted to mention that - based on some "references" from some
of the people I "know" from this list - I overcame my "fears" and signed
up for the password.
The program works like a charm, and I had a long call with a friend in
the US (I'm in Germany). The quality was fine, and I think the program's
got real potential (I wonder when their IPO's gonna be...)
The one thing I still am not sure about is the fact that - if I
understood it right - you have to lower your Internet Explorer security
to allow for ActiveX "access" - which (again, if I understand it right)
leaves your computer wide open to whomever's behind that address in
Texas that's on the website (which I hope isn't linked to a site in
Daghestan or God knows where).
Anyway, as I said, I tried it and liked it. I'm gonna re-up my ActiveX
security settings to see how it works.
Anybody else have any other security concerns with this one???
