[NetMeeting] no video

i can't send video & can't figure out why.
i have a EZCAM USB camera.  the person I connect with doesn't have a camera.
we both have NetMeeting 3.01 & Win98.
we are definitely connected to each other -- & i can hear audio.
i have the "send video" option checked.  but I never see the status line
saying "sending."  however, he has in his status line "receiving" but yet he
cannot see my video.
any ideas?
