Andrew, that's really helpful, thanks.  I can be connected 24/7, so
that's not a problem.  In practice, I wont be online the whole time,
of course, but although it sounds as though this defeats the object,
at this stage I'm really aiming to simply try out configuring the PC
to act as an ILS server, with a few friends logging in to help test
it.

My question in that case is what software is best to use to to set up
an ILS?
