As an editor assigned to move these drafts forward, I find them very useful and 
they fill nagging gaps.  So I approve.

The intf-ext yang will be especially useful in layer 2 applications that need 
the common leafs.  The sub-intf work has been used in l3-vlan and flexible 
encapsulation work and could be used to support more use cases if it was an RFC.
