I know a while back I mentioned this and there seemed to be a bit of interest but I thought I would bring it back up regarding PCAP indexing. Netsniff has helped me solve the problem of capturing high speed but has added a new problem around the large amount of PCAP. I know time machine and cxtracker have this functionality and was wondering if this is anywhere on the roadmap for netxniff-ng. I am pretty sure in time machine its a separate process to create the indexes but I was hoping to do it at write time as they take priorities over reads.
