yeah, we do need something similar to link cities and (maybe) to create some "shortcuts" inside big cities (1 milion+ inhabitants) Plus, antennae need to be placed in open air and there must not be buildings between them. But the really important thing is: Low cost effective wi-fi bridges can be built! I think i'm gonna wrote some emails to the team (iXem Labs) asking when the papers they promised to publish will be available. They also promised giving their tools' and programs' source code.
