OTOH i'm confident we are mature enough to try structure funding in a productive way. nevertheless my feeling is that for those of us busy on similar code and ideas in the past 10 years it is a bit difficult to relate with the present "buzz" and consider it serious. even here in the Netherlands people knows about NTK since several years and even NLNET has been informed about our existence and progress already 5 years ago, i'm somehow surprised if something starts completely from scratch without taking advantage of previous efforts. ultimately i just hope something that works comes out of this, but i'm skeptical something like kickstarter helps it. i think we could do well with some little money to organize a meeting and a code sprint, for a start and at least i hope that those who will raise money on the wave of present trends will invite us and more knowledgeable people at their meetings. we shall see. funding projects is a science on its own, maybe we could apply the netsukuku algorithm to it :) ciao
