Some time ago, members of this list stated an interest in finding an
MP3 player for DOS. One such program has seemingly appeared on
SIMTEL's site. Here is what arrived this morning in my mailbox from

qvpro240.zip DOS Multimedia Viewer with MPEG/AVI/MOV/MP3
QuickView is a multimedia viewer that allows you to view MPEG, AVI, and
MOV videos under MS-DOS with sound. Also plays VideoCD and CD-i.
Furthermore, it views the video formats DL, FLI/FLC and animated GIF;
the sound formats WAV, VOC and audio MPEG files like MP3, and the
picture formats BMP, PCX, GIF, JPG, TGA, and more. Very fast picture
display. Includes documentation in English and German.
Special requirements: 80386 processor, VGA. A sound card is recommended
but not required.
Changes: (From v2.33 to v2.40)...added MPEG, VideoCD and CD-i playback.
qvpro240.zip has replaced qvpro233.zip.
Shareware. Uploaded by the author.
