Hi Ann,
The next thing I'd try is dumb terminal mode.
>From the nettamer terminal functions screen, hit Alt =
Initialize the modem then type ATDTxxxxxxx, where the xs
represent the phone number, and hit enter.
Once you connect you should be prompted for login/username
and password.
If you can login, alt p will start the ppp connection.
Once you can login manually, you can modify one of the
service.log scripts to do what you did manually. Or you may
discover an error in your original set up, like wrong case in the
password or login or a typo or some such.
