Ronald:

Yes, Uncle Dave has some very nifty features in Nettamer's PPP dialer which
are NOT available in any other DOS-based dialer/PPP application that I have
personally tried or ever heard about.

My frustration with this whole situation is, again, seeing high-quality
DOS-based source code disappear. Because the developer is not able to
maintain the product or lost interest in de-bugging the SOS (same old fecal
material).

IMO it would be a very sad day for worldwide DOS-based users of the internet
if we loose the functionality of Nettamer's PPP dialer.

There are a lot of folks who need this type of an application for their Intel
CPU in an embedded application = credit card reader that uses the internet
instead of a direct CPU-modem-to-modem-CPU connection like a BBS. The vast
majority of a embedded DOS-based credit card reader could be built with only
a few chips and be battery powered = use it from the parking lot of a store
with battery powered short-range RF or from the booth at the local flea
market or local street vendors.

All this low-powered battery stuff is of very great importance as I sit with
a battery powered computer because the local "shore" power got shut off. Due
to the rolling blackouts in California.

Keep those comments coming from the existing users of Nettamer. We need to
assist Uncle Dave in finding a solution that is a win-win for him as well as
the DOS-based internet community.
