Subject: Re: how doyou fix this?
I frequently get attachments that NT can't decode. Sometimes the
message can be saved to disk and then I edit the section where the
attachment is located to add a line: name="whatever"
The line has to be added _above_ the actual encoding but after the line
that marks the start of the section containing the attachment. Adding
the "name" line generally allows a decoder to save the file. I have
several decoders, but "decode64.exe" seems to work best. Another that
works okay is "fcode.exe." I forget where I got these, but they were
probably in some MSDOS collection.
Any good graphic viewer should be able to identify and display the file,
regardless of the name you use, based on the content alone.
