whats going to be our nature of recommendations. for example are we going to
say promoting foss in education or say making education vendor neutral, which
would mean elimination of proprietary software from education. i am trying to
understand the consensus on this.

whats the status of public/state funded free software today. wont public
funding play a key part in the development of foss. do we as a group feel there
is enough funding and enough free software suiting our need or do we need more ?

i would like to support this personally.

Also what about the cost angle. I do know about the reservation vis a vis
freedom and the dangers of putting cost as an argument, but IT is survival in
our context and not alone Freedom and cost does matter. Does it need to come in
some where, for example - education projects paying for IE when better
alternatives - or appropriate and intelligent choice

and "fosscomm - what we stand for"
