Cheers to Mr. Sen.  who has definetly made an attempt to take atleast 
a few steps to begin with. Most others would cover their tracks and 
bolt everything shut.

For audio apart from whatever training one may impart please take the 
following precaution in hardware procurement
1) Purchase pcs or mobos whose sound has been checked for the required 
audio performance. You will be shocked at the audio quality of most 
mobos and branded pcs.
2) If you need multiple channels specify Delta 1010 sound card 
alongwith the above  PC.
3) Note that PC brands are not a criteria. One will have to check the 
mobos + sound card actual performance. This is because doze 
workarounds abound with bad hardware, but linux is not tailored for 
individual idiocity of every manufacturer.
