He is not 'just another guy'! Whether anyone agrees or not, his books have created a complete generation of programmers - where they land up and what they realize is another issue. The REAL fight is in first and second year of technical courses where kanetkar books as well as Turbo C++ rules. Once the mindset of students and faculty members is set with TC, they start resisting the very need of FOSS. Their golden time of first and second year has already been wasted with turbo C, so we can utilize a very small amount of their time and space left after second year and mostly they get elective papers which vary college to college. We NEED to amend this situation. probably by producing free online edition of 'Let us C/UNIX' -- Mohit Singh GNU/Linux User Group - Meerut _______________________________________________ network mailing list [email protected] http://lists.fosscom.in/listinfo.cgi/network-fosscom.in
